1. What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers how we treat “Personal Data” that we gather when you access or use our Services. “Personal Data” means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and also includes information referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” under applicable data privacy laws, rules, or regulations. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people we don’t manage.

Google Login Data
We use Google Account login solely for authentication. We do not integrate with Google Workspace data or store any additional data from your Google Account beyond your basic profile (e.g., email address) needed to register or log in to Whisper Scribe.

You are also responsible for choosing a strong password, keeping your credentials secure, and signing out after use. While we work to protect the security of your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by law. For example:
Account data is kept as long as you maintain an account with us.
Payment data is retained as needed for billing or compliance purposes.
Device/IP data is retained to ensure systems function properly.
Transcripts: Since audio files are not stored, only text transcripts generated by OpenAI’s Whisper API may be retained as needed to provide you with the Services (e.g., for retrieval or reference).
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data (which does not identify you personally) indefinitely.
6. Personal Data of Children
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from children under 16 years of age. If you are under 16, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services. If we learn we have collected Personal Data from a child under 16, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. 7. Other State Law Privacy Rights
California Resident Rights
